Sixty Six Grill and Taphouse: A Local Dining Gem in Kernersville

We tried this place for the first time this weekend after hearing a lot of good things, and we were absolutely not disappointed! Despite being very busy, the restaurant had a nice, chill vibe to it. Our server was very friendly, quick with anything we needed, and our drinks stayed full. She recommended a boneless wing sauce to my husband that turned out to make for the best boneless wings we've ever had (and his standards for those are sky high). The chicken was fresh, tender, and the bourbon molasses sauce was absolutely delicious. The fried pickles as an app were good - the batter would have benefitted from a little more seasoning, and overall a little more flavor would have made them perfect, but overall enjoyable! I got a grilled chicken club, which I really enjoyed. The croissant was fluffy and soft, and the grilled chicken itself was perfectly cooked. The fries were awesome - well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and crispy. Every plate that went by us to another table looked phenomenal too...next time, I'm definitely interested in trying a flat bread and the salad bar!

A good local place with decent food nice staff and reasonable prices. A little noisy for me but it may have been the day and the time. Definitely a repeat eat.

My first time trying this place. One good thing about being a delivery driver is you run into a lot of places you find yourself saying I’ve gotta go there! The burger patty nice and thick with good flavor. The cheese fries were so good. One main reason the layer them with cheese and bacon unlike other places where cheese and bacon is solely on top layer! I’ve tried ranch at a lot of places and this is definitely one of the best! I’ll definitely be back to try some other things!

I haven't been here in awhile as I live a distance away and after today I'm not sure I'll even be back. This spot was chosen as our monthly ladies lunch spot for this month. Upon arriving I immediately saw the 90 sanitation and didn't like that. We originally had a party of 6 but a 7th joined. We were told we could accommodate that. We had a chair pulled out at the end of a table. The manger comes over about 15 min later and was completely rude. I understand this is a first come first serve established which could have been expressed much nicer and with way less attitude then it was. The manager was extremely rude, cocky and made it known that "he was the manager". I explained the person was here and he got a bigger attitude and shoved the chair back. The food was good but the salad bar had several wilted and brown pieces of salad. The manager was seen at the kitchen bar waiting to serve food with earbuds in that could easily fall in someone's food as well as on his phone multiple times and not washing hands. Our waitress was sweet and again the food wasn't awful. However, the managers nasty big ego sure did kill the vibe.

Sixty Six Grill is always busy, as they serve a great selection of food and offer a full bar. Arriving after 7 pm, had a short 15 minute wait, and we ordered a beverage at the bar and was able to chat outside on a very nice evening. They use a text alert to notify you when your table is ready - very convenient! Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Orders placed & the food was served and tasted good. My pesto pasta only had a hint of pesto, with Alfredo sauce over powering it. It tasted very good, but not the pesto flavor I was seeking. The wrap & sweet potato fries was spot on and I tried the extra fries, which were very tender. There is also a salad bar - serve yourself and make a salad with what you want. Certainly will go back more often. ADA compliant restrooms, but a man with his walked had trouble getting around as the spacing between some tables was tight. Patrons with disability should ask for seating that acclimate their path to the restrooms.

Came in 5 or 6 times before writing a review. Didn’t want to be that type to write off a “bad experience” the food is a little inconsistent, service isn’t the worst in the world, could turn the ac up a little. I don’t need to be sweating when I eat lol but overall not a bad little spot. My son enjoys it, so we will be coming back until he says otherwise lol

We had the BEST server while we sat at the bar to get some work done. I believe her name was Jan. We arrived when the restaurant was full, yet we received service immediately. She remained attentive and professional, even while enjoying friendly banter with her regular customers. We'll go back for this level of service.
